Sir,

My question is that I am resident of place '' X '' and a case has been filed at place '' Y '' against me and some of well wishers of Complaintant at place '' X '' who are behind the case are creating hurdles in compromising the matter since the Complainant has left to the well wishers for compromise. Kindly let me know what appropriate steps can be taken against them.

You can very well challenge such proceeding in Appellate Court as well as you can appear in the Court furnish bail and contest the matter . You can seek quashing of criminal proceedings under Section 482 CrPC directly in High Court as well as under Writ petition to High Court or Supreme Court as well
