Legal Question in Family Law in India

my brother was married on nov.2009 and today is 2 july this is the total period of my brother married life.he want divorce because her wife giving him a lot of touble.she abuses him,and trying to commite suicide in front of him many times.she harrishing him mentally each and every day.now he decided to take divorce but legally he won't able to file a case as per as law a marriage life should last for atleast one year. is there any rule or any laws to take divorce.but his wife is not agree for taking divorce.pls. help us.any other rule or any condition to live seprate from his wife.
