Civil Marriage

In case of a civil marriage i.e. between 2 hindus is a notice of marrige sent at the residence of the 2 people? and are their pictures published in the newspaper for objections ?

A public notice may be issued by the court before permitting marriage under Special Marriage Act. The notice may be published in news papers and may also be sent at the address of the parties.

no it is sent to the mariage officer in whose jurisdiciton teh parites reside and displayed in teh notice board of their office only
