Legal Question in Family Law in India

My Father is 59Years old and mother is 51 years old.Since last 10years they are fighting like anything.When they talk to me regarding their issue's with compatibility its very hard to judge who is wrong because at same point of time both are right.
Very often my father started giving threats(threats in the sense keeping me informed if this wuld be the scenario then he'll not be held responsible) to me and my married sister that he'll abandon all his property to charity and drag us to street, he'll leave my mom in station and leave somewhere(my mom has undergone kneecap replacement surgery and is not leading a healthy life anymore and is dependent on my dad only).
I've tried many times to make this out clear but every alternate week they are fighting.
Now that is is very clear that this is rising above head so i want to settle this once in for all.
want to know whether-->
1.I can file a case against my dad(May be on behalf of my mother) on distribution of property or it is only for my dad and he can do anything with it he wants.
2.is my married sister eligible for this share ?
3.By doing this, can my father take adverse steps against us ? ( me and my mom )
want to know what is the process in brief and what could be reverse actions/implications by this this we cud face
