it doesnt matter much whether the birth certificate bears the name of father. but now, in school records, you may give father's name and the mistake will be cured. alternatively, you may apply for correction in the birth certificate and add father's name.

yes, by simply an affidavit of the father , and some other proof , such as ration card etc, name can be entered

you may alter it by a affidavit
