Legal Question in Family Law in India

My sister in law and her family came to my house and took jewellery forcefully. My mother gave her to wear her jewellery bought by me for a pooja she took that too with force stating it is mine has she gave me to wear so it is mine now. what should I do to get it back? can i serve a legal notice to her.

the jewelry given to her by her parents and even by your parents and you at the time of marriage is her stridhan and you cannot claim it back.

You may try to reach an out of court amicable settlement and avoid litigation.
