I understand that from Mr Goels answer that one to give alimony to the spouse even when opting for a mutual divorce . But if spouse does not want to take alimony while going for mutual divorce then what proceess needs to followed

If both the spouses mutually agree on alimony terms, the same form part of the divorce decree. In that situation, no alimony may be required.

divorce by mutual consent means that both, the husband and wife have settled their dispute and they are ready to take divorce amicably. alimony is not a condition precedent for obtaining MCD. any agreement, mutually agreed by parties is acceptable.
