Green Card

Hi..A friend of mine from India was engaged to a guy,basicaly from India but working In US.Due to certain reasons the engagement was broken and now the guys family have filed a case against my friends family for compensation in India.I just wanted to know if my friends family file a counter case against the guy ,will it affect his green card processing?Any help would be well appreciated.Thanxs in advance.

Probably it is civil suit claiming compensation.Your friend may file counter claim and it does not effect his green card in any way.In case of need contact with details.Professional charges are applicable.

it appears that a civil suit is pending, you can also file counter if you have cause to file one against them, normaly civil suit may not have any bearing in green card processing, however you may consult prcessing rules for green card
