medical leave

One of our employees was hospitalised for13 days. . Asking for reimbursement of Rs.14066 spent due to hospitalisation and also salary for the same period. Should he be paid?

1. This question has been posted under the category of healthcare law. In fact, it belongs to general law related to service contract.

2. If the employer has contracted with the employee to pay hospitalization charges, the same will have to be paid in terms of the contract.

3. If the employee was on paid leave during the period of hospitalization, salary for the period of leave will have to be paid in terms of the contract.
