Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

dear sir

i have a flat which i have given on rent to a family with registered rent aggreement. now my tenant is asking me that he wants to get a VAT number from government so kindly give me NOC mentioning that i have no objection in commercial use of this premises. is doing this carries any risk. kindly help

in case the premises are residential, they cannot be used for commercial purposes. in case the premises are let out for commercial purposes only and the municipal laws allow such activity, you may think of issuing NOC, valid till the tenancy exists.

no as the premises are let out for residential purpose this way u are contradicting your rent agreement
