Documentation for JV

I am planning to enter into a jv with a party who owns land. I will be building an appartment on his land and he will be a partner . What documenmtation i should be looking into for trhis procvess i india.

check and varify the deeds in the name of the owner/seller from the registrar office where the property is situated.

then u can safely enter in the contract/agreement etc

First verify the Title deeds starting from the source. If every thing is all right, then enter into the joint venture contract with the owner of the land. It is better to consult your lawyer in this kind of joint ventures.

You may enter into a collaboration/JV agreement with the land owner after verification of the title. You have to clearly spell out as to how to divide the structure by metes and bound and the proportionate share of land underneath in order to protect your interest.

you will first have examine whether the party has a clear title. better if you consult a lawyer with the documents furnished to you before venturing into any deal
