Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

Property Matter

We're the legal tenants holding all original rent receipts along with some correspondences done with our Landlords (LLs). Our LLs & his fmly. are extinct with no legal heirs, It's evident from the outstanding prop. tax of 30+ yrs.

In the Land revenue & Inspector's office, the prop.card of our LL's prop. is not prepared by him or any of his heirs, then. Today since nobody exists from his fmly, for any repair permission the municipal authority is insisting on us to clear off the entire prop.tax of our LL's prop. by having it transfered in our names. The 7/12 extract doesn't apply to the area as it comes under the town plan. scheme of Govt.

Our LLs being illiterate, used to seek help from my grandfather (GF) in all his prop.related correspondences & were good friends. My GF is also no more & his death cert. (in approx.1965) is also NA with the Municipal records. Same is the case with the LLs' death certs. But my old mother & my 3/5 older uncles're alive aware of the facts.

Thus, can we legally claim right to the ownership of our LL's entire prop. and/or prop. ltd.to our residences/room as care-takers? We don't mind paying the prop.tax. If YES pl.suggest step-by-step procedure in doing so in a first-things-first manner.

Re: Property Matter

You have no right over the property nor you can claim the ownership over the property.Mere payment of House tax does not mean that you have become the owner nor the payment of house tax confer any right of ownership.
