Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

I Sukumar mondal and my mom staying at kolkata in a room with no kitchen and common privy giving rent rs. 500 per month for last 14 years after the death of my father. My landlord is giving the rent receipt in the name of my father for last 14 years after knowing that he is dead. For last 4 months he stopped giving the rent receipt and pressuring us to make a leave and licence agreement for 11 months. My grand father rented the room 60 years before and after my father also stayed there for last 50 years. Pls let me know what should i do, should i sign the agreement or not? Nowadays our landlord has stopped giving water to us and also appoint some local goons to threaten me.

No need of signing any agreement. You can approach a local lawyer and file a case against the landlord for restoration of amenities and deposit of rent in court.
