rearding advocates act

in what provision / rules or guidelines any advocate can do there advertisement on internet ? for example lot of indian advocate are showing there profile on lawguru so can they do it if yes than in what power?

The Act only prohibits making or promoting a business directly.

As far this forum is concerned its a social work and its not wrong to give your professional details in case of the people who can be prospective clients.

The Advocates act only prohibits for soliciting business directly.It doesnot prohibit any social work as advocacy is a noble profession. Secondly it doesnot prohibit an advocate from giving name address and contact no to client or prospective client.The only thing an advocate is prohibited is asking people directly to give him business of litigation.
