Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

my father in law has made a general power of attroney on my name & my husband name in 2003 for his ancestral property.my sister in law has taken her share(in cheque).now she is denying it. can my father in law cancel the GPO.

Your father can always stop the GPO.

Your sister in Law cannot deny receiving the money, as the bank statement will show her name as beneficiary of the cheque.

The executant of GPA has a right to revoke the powers he has given to you or your husband by sending a written information/notice to you or your husband (as the case may be) whether or not there is any ground whatsoever. Revocation of powers has nothing to do with any other fact.
