Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

""File the written statement in 30 days from the date of service of summons. However, if any one suit is summary suit then you have to cause appearance in 10 days of service irrespective of the next date. These things, now a days, are mentioned in the summon itself. You may take all your objections in the written statement about pendency of other matters and thus harrasment."" My question is can i file the reply myself or I need lawyer. As the lawyer himself waits for the date and even though he knows the case stands no chance he is using the long process. What if i have crossed the 30 day time as i was unaware of all this being an ordinary person..as i was misguided..Plz help

Sir, No doubt one may file the written statement himself but you will, at the most, be able to reply on facts but it may not be possible for you to take all legal objections which may be available to you under the law. It is therefore advisable to use the services of a lawyer. One may file the reply after thirty days along with an application under Order VIII Rule 1 CPC to condone the delay in filing the Written Statement.
