Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Need to give an undertaking to the Society (Appendix 8), and for the convenience of the members, the Soceity has already bought the Rs.100 Stamp Paper in the Soceity's namer and printed the required text on each, members just have to fill in their personal details etc.

I was told that Stamp paper for undertaking should be bought in the concerned person's name, or else has to be notorized...is this true?

Is what the Society doing wrong? As members, should we not accept it?

Many thanks.

Dear Sir / Madam,

(Prabhadevi, Mumbai, Maharashtra)

Stamp paper should be purchased in the name of the person giving the undertaking to the Society.

You are entitled to refuse to issue the undertaking since the Stamp paper is in the name of the Society.
