Heir certification

Mr 'X' died and he had some land property in his name. His wife and two adult sons want the land property registered in their name so as to sell it off. What precise documents are required to get this done? Which authority is to be approached?The property is in Kerala.

You should approach the local revenue authorities with original death certificate and affidavits of all legal heirs.

since mr. x died intestated, the heris of the mr.x should file a petition for the letter of administration in the High Court? District Court whichever has the testamentary and intestste jurisdiction.

they can change mutation in theier name, appoach village office with legal heir certificate.This has to be doen by thasildar of taluk
