Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Housing Society not formed yet

Hi,

We have purchased 2 flats from a builder who told us that society is not registered yet and it will be registered within 6 months. Its been an year now and there is no sign of society registration. All then flat owners are tired of this now as they are following-up for this since last 5 years. Where should we go to lodge a complaint? Is there any law to protect flat owner on the above issue?

If the builder has failed to keep his promise, you may sue for 'performance of his contract' and/or also make a complaint of cheating with the police.
