Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Property ,family & hindu law.

A group of individuals consist of father,mother ,2 daughters & 3 sons.Is this a family of FATHER or is a family of a SON? All the childern are un-married.This is required for the clearification of the meaning of the word ''FAMILY'' for the purpose of acquiring a property under the state laws which states that no family can acquire more than one property in the of a single individual-member of a family.

The term family for he purpose of acquiring property in view of some special acts like ULC, Tenancy Law etc. means husband, wife and their minor children.
