Purchase of site falling under hi-tech zone

Hello,

I am plainning to buy a site in Ponnthur village (Near outer ring road, Marathalli, Bangalore). Owner of the land says that this falls under green belt and Hi - Tech zone. Please let me know how far it is advisable to by such a site. Can this be converted to resedential at a later point and can loan be obtained for construction of house in such a site. Thanks in advance.

If the area is ear-marked as Green belt area and Hi-tech Zone, no residential activity can be carried out, unless a change of land use is permitted by the Deputy Commr. However, the details of potential usage of the relevant zone can be obtained in the Office of the BDA.
