Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Sri R. Mohan expired on 02.03.2009. He is having one residential house in his name (self aquired). and he is having one plot (200 Sq.yards) aquired by gift deed from his wife.Now his mother filed for property division suit against the said properties. He is having one wife,son,daughter. Then the his mother is eligible for claim.

yes, she is entitled for one fourth of the property.

Under Hindu Succession Act, mother is entitled to share as Class I heir.
