Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

Making a will on a charity

I want to make a will of my properties, bank accounts and locker on any charitable organisation that is run by the government. Is it possible legally and how securely the will is executed after my demise. Can u name any such organisation which serves the poor for free in India, if possible in Andhra Pradesh.

You may consider making a will in favour of the Collector of your District with a mandate to use the funds for benefit of poor through the Red Cross Society or any other similar society in your area.

A copy of the will may be deposited in a seal cover with the office of the Collector.
