Re: Will

After executing a WILL your wife cannot become the co-owner or joint owner. Through WILL She will become owner after your death.

but she can become joint owner or half portion's owner after executing a GIFT DEED or SALE DEED in favour of your wife for the said property.

Re: Will

If the house is in society you have to give a letter to the Committee. Pl state whether it is a society or what is it.

Re: Will

Your facts are not complete. If the house is ancestral and you have any child/ren living, you are entitled to change ownership of the property.

If the house is your 'self acquired' property, you may draw a 'family settlement', get it registered with the Registrar (Tehsil Office) and apply to the local authorities of your area for including your wife as a co-owner.
