Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana

Where to file

I moved to a city in Indiana 18 months ago. I have a house in my previous city that I will not be reaffirming on.

Should I file in my previous city or my current resident city?

Thanks!!

Re: Where to file

Legally, you can file wherever you reside or own property or a business. So, in your case, you could either file in Indiana because you have been here longer than 90 days, or in the jurisdiction where you own the property. I would make the choice based on convienence to you. Keep in mind, that some bankruptcy attorneys may charge out of state/our of jurisdiction clients more due to postage and/or long-distance.
