Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Indiana
Attending out of state trial.
I live in Indiana and have a friend in North Carolina involved in a civil suit. My friends attorney called and said I HAVE to go to North Carolina in case I'm needed to testify. It is extremely inconvenient and costly for me. I was told if I don't go he will supena me. Do I really have to go?

No. A NC subpoena is not effective beyond the borders of NC.
