Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Indiana

My wife was trying on bras in a big named retailer the other day when the changing room attendant accused my wife of switching her bra for one of the new bras. My wife assured her that she had done nothing of the sort and continued to try on more bras. when she came back out there was another lady there that said "I need to see your bra" in a very demanding way while backing my wife into a corner. She had my wife raise her shirt out in the open where passers by could see her. This obviously was very humiliating and then she raised the back of my wifes shirt, touching my wifes bra and looking for a tag or something. When she realized that my wife had not attempted to steal anything she still said that she would be checking the tapes, in a very accusatory manner. This upset my wife so much that she called me as she was walking out of the store in tears and very shaken by the whole ordeal. I told her to calm down and come home and we would sort this all out. I am very upset that my wife was put through this whole humiliating ordeal and cant understand the lady making her raise her shirt out in the open that way and touching my wifes bra and back. I believe her rights have been violated and that she has been publically humiliated, damaging her reputation.

I assume you meant to ask a question somewhere. I would advise you to sit down with an attorney in your community and discuss whether any false imprisonment claim could be pursued.
