Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Indiana

I am a working mother of three with a felony. I have been on my job for almost four years.. There was never any concerns or questions about my history yet it has always been known to my fellow co-worker, management and their head.. Recently I was approached by our store manger to fill out a Mangmt Application, at this time I am already proforming mangmt duties.. I was later told that Human Resources denied my app. My manager said' I'm just glad they didn't mention firing you because he( her boss's boss) said he would have let them have it"..He was the DM when I first started.. Yet I am still proforming mangmt duties... I have keys, code # to safe, and a # to deal with Brinks when they come.. I make sure everything I touch when I leave is what it is suppose to be, I take no chances.. AM I A FELON BEING PLAYED BECAUSE THEY CAN?
