Can someone check your credit report without your permisson and without your knowledge?

The quick answer is no, but it is permissable to pull a report on you for various reasons. One is for insurance purposes (life ins), two is for employment and three is anyone considering giving you credit. WRITE the bureau and request a list of who has requested your report and for what purposes. If you believe that they did it incorrectly, you MAY have an action against them under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Consult with an attorney to make sure
