Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

I currently have a dui case in another state four hours away which I hired an attorney in that area to handle. My question is that I was told by that court to do X amount of hours of alchol classes but in the Indiana assessment I was told to do much less. I have tried to contact my attorney on what I should do because I don't want to go to court and be told I "didn't do enough classes" and have to start all over and have this drawn out even longer but he never calls me back. He also is supposed to appear for me with my class completion certificate and cashiers check for payment of my court costs and I paid $750 extra for him to do this but he has a tendency to forget what he tells me which is a concern because I just received a letter stating I must APPEAR on my next court date. Should I just write him a letter since he won't call me back? They are not even spelling my name write on the correspondence letters to me and he was a VERY expensive lawyer for this misdemeanor case. I am just starting a new job and need to know if I am going to have to appear so I can put in a time off request asap.
