Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

How to have hold lifted

My husbasnd is currently in Elkhart County jail and is awaiting sentencing on June 29, 2009. The state of Michigan has a hold on him for charges that he will face when his sentence is done in Indiana. We would like to know if it is possible to get the hold removed which will open opportunities for alternative senticing in Indiana. We also want to know if there is any way possible fo Michigan to run concurrent with Indiana. Is this something we would need to hire an attorney for?

Re: How to have hold lifted

This is something which will have to be done in Michigan, so you need to ask a Michigan attorney, or an Indiana lawyer who also practices there. The question of removing a hold almost always depends on the state which has issued the hold.

And yes, you will undoubtedly need an attorney to take care of this.
