Re: Do I need a lawyer?

Unless you are well versed in dealing with the criminal court system, then I would strongly suggest you retain an attorney.

You will most likely require a skilled lawyer to review the facts of your case in order to determine what defenses you may have. If you are not aware of these, then moving forward pro se, or without an attorney, may mean a conviction. Even if the state's evidence is very compelling, a lawyer will be useful in negoitiating a plea agreement.

Please remember, the issues of jail time, fines costs and probation will need to be addressed. If you wish to discuss thisin greater detail, you may call my office at 317 686-0000.
