More information is required to answer your inquiry. For example, was the friend an employee of yours when the video was made? If so, you may own the copyright to the video under the "work for hire" doctrine. If not, you may be violating copyright law. OR, what is the content of the video? Is it defamatory, pornographic? Talk to a copyright attorney with your specific facts if you have a real concern.

On a non-legal note...if they are your friend, it's better just to ask them first for their approval/permission and save yourself a potential headache.
