Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

Monument / Headstone Broken Contract

A Monument Company has broken a contract with me and the creation of a headstone that was in honor of my son.

The headstone was a custom stone that I drew out and planned and wanted custom made after his passing. Everything was going on schedule until about a month ago when the mother of my child, who was not any part of this contract, called with threats and complaints...

To my surprise the company canceled the contract and sent all the money that had been paid and donated by various sources to a church in a private account. Then the church turned the money over to the ''mother'' of my child due to and I quote, ''she is the mother...''

Now there is Headstone on my sons gravesite, which I own, that was not approved by me, nor the grounds keeper. The mother of my son purchased a CHEAP stone, which was placed and has apparently ran off with the rest of the money...

I am really not concerned with that part just yet, but the HEADSTONE I am.

Wearly's as of right now has agreed to finish my stone, but require that I pay the money that they refunded to my EX and that I pay the rest of the what I owe!!! I have been in and out of depression for a year and a half, now I must deal with this!

I have no clue what to do or where to go!!!

I think you need to call up an attorney, make an appointment and let them read over the contract. Then follow their advice.
