Legal Question in Immigration Law in Indiana

I am a green card holder who is planning to apply for canadian residency as a skilled worker. How my residency application to Canada going to affect my residency status in the U.S.? Can I have two residencies? I will be eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship in the spring of 2012. Thank you.

The US immigration law doesn't allow for having two permanent residencies at once. When you are a US citizen, then you can safely become a Canadian permanent resident.

On the other note, you mention that you'll become eligible for naturalization in 2012 - it might be the case, if you meet ALL naturalization requirements, including continuous uninterrupted residence in USA.
