drug test
i work for siemens, i have been asked to travel to a site to
work. job may take 2 to 3 days. i am a field service engineer. the company that i am to work at stated that i must take a drug test. i told my office that i would not take the test. your thoughts??

A drug test is a fair requirement these days. Employers don't have much interest in what you do off hours, but they DO have an interest in making sure you're not under the influence at work. It may be a catch-22 situation, but chances are there is a fair requirement at work here. You may be able to get your company to mediate, but I suspect there's a reason for the drug test if they go to the trouble of having one.
