Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I had household and personal items in two rooms being stored. This building was key required to enter. Someone has stolen several items in a locked area. We did not have these items insured, is anyone responsible for someone getting into our locked storage and stealing things?

Maybe, it may depend on whether there was notice to the storage building owner that this was a crime area and if so, what steps were taken after notice was received.
