Loss of home if disabled

I am disabled and am drawing disability and own my home. If I become ill or am sent to a nursing home for an extended period of time can i lose my home the property is in my name and am single, with no childrem, and no will. Thank You,

Should you go into a nursing home, you will not be allowed to keep certain property. Especially if you end up on medicade. You are only allowed to have something like $50 a month. The remainder of your disability income would go to the nursing home for your care.Any assets you have would be sold to pay for your care.
