Mother just passed away - offer on house

I am trying to help my friend find an attorney. Her mother's house was for sale, they had an offer, her mother passed away. Dad had passed away 2 years ago. How do they proceed now? House located in Illinois. Daughter & Son live in Indiana. Would like atty. in Indiana that practices in Illinois to respond.

Was there a will? Are you or your sibling listed on the last deed? Depending on the crcumstances, this may not be very complicated.
