Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Personal Properrty

Just moved into a new house last week. Took legal possession on March 12th. Former owner left items behind and now wishes to pick some of them up. No prior arraingments were made (verbal or written). Who has legal rights to the items left behind after legal possession has taken place?

Unless you have a bill of sale you are asking for trouble regardless of what the contract called for in terms of possession. Seems to me you would be best served by having the former owner take ALL of his items not just some.
