Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

Grandmother dead 2 1/2 years

My grandmother died in Aug of 2005. My uncles were appointed as her personal reps. We still have not seen any of the inheritance. The last piece of mail I got from the lawyer was the order granting permission to correct an error on the inheritance tax. It was because they had me listed as her daughter in law and that was ordered in October. What could be taking so long? Is it possible that my uncles are trying to steal the money?

I would not go so far as to say the Uncles are trying to steal the money. It is a good thing they are having an attorney assist them. However, if you are a beneficiary you have rights. You should consult an attorney.

If you want to know what is going on, go down to the City-County Building to the probate court. Have the cause number with you and they will get the file. You can see what has been done on the case.
