Legal Question in Investment Law in Indonesia

I'm a non-resident foreigner. Can I come over to Indonesia to prospect clients and provide investment advice without approval from authorities? If not, can I apply for a licence?

Basically, you should have a proper visa to do such things. If you only provide a very general investment to the prospective client, a licence may not be required. However, if you provide specific investment advice related to for example, insurance issues, then a licence from the authorities is obviously required. There are certain requirements need to be satisfied if you wish to apply for a licence depending on the type of licence.

Kind regards,

Lia
