Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
I was caught in my car in a parking lot with spice the supposedly legal verson of marijuana and the officer had written me a citation for posession of marijuana so shoud that be dropped because its not marijuana and the lab will not find any thc?

You will want to wait and see what comes back on the lab report. There are now several different prohibitions in the controlled substances laws that deal with synthetic or other substances similar to marijuana which are prohibited, so although you may presently be charged with possession or marijuana, they may amend it to something else after the lab report is completed.
