Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

I have been charged with conspiracy to deliver more than 5 grams of meth (B FELONY)... I have app. 30 co-defendants... Task force claims they have txt messages and phone calls against me, but they DO NOT have either of those...All they have is my statement in which I feel I was coursed into... I have a c felony on my record for 3rd degree burglary, (my only other felony I have been charged with)... Why am I not eligible for a deferred judgement??? I feel my attorney is lacking in effort...

There are at least two reasons you are not eligible for a deferred judgment on your current charge: if you have a prior felony conviction you are not eligible for a deferred judgment, and if you are found guilty to the B felony charge it is a mandatory prison sentence which means that the judge has no discretion but to send you to prison. If you feel you have a valid defense to the charge, you need to discuss those matters in complete detail with your attorney.
