Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Custody

I have been involved in a CINA case up until June 15, 2007, as a result of my son being removed from his mother's home and placed with me because of lack of supervision. At the last hearing, the juvenile court granted me custody, found that my son was no longer a child in need of assistance, and terminated juvenile court jurisdiction. Prior to the CINA case, my ex had custody. Since the case has been dismissed, do I have custody of my son now or does she retain custody now that the juvenile court is no longer involved ( I live in Iowa)?

Re: Custody

You should ask the juvenile court to grant concurrent jurisdiction for the purposes of seeking a permanent custody and support order in district court.
