Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I had filed an Application to Show Cause Pro Se and I received a call from my Exes old lawyer. He told me that he was calling on her behalf and he was representing her. He stated that I had no case and if I was to pursue the matter he would go after me in court fees and her travel fees.

I told him that I plan on going through with the hearing.

I then called him the next day to get his information and he tells me that he is NOT representing her and hasn't decided if he is going to or not.

I believe that he committed fraud by misrepresenting himself on the initial call in order to intimidate me and scare me into withdrawing.

Do I have solid grounds to file a complaint or seek legal action against this lawyer?

Thanks,

Fighting Father

So he represented her for the purposes of answering your phone call. How is that fraud?
