Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Married for 12 years. . Need a divorce...he just got a 300000 lawsuit..finally settled...I don't wat to get more than my pets and what clothes and pics I have..but he tells me c u in court he says he will buy e a used car that's it....I dont.want a battle just can't seem to get him to not be mean...I don't want to take his $.and battle. I have no means to support myself alone yet he is a....dick!..what.is the way to divorce and not.be on the street...I can't afford a lawyer or my digs..he..would rather me c him in court as to just divorce and help me get on my own ....what to do. ? He has supported me 12 yrs.leaving him I'm in street how do I handle this

How you handle it is you beg borrow or steal the money to get yourself an attorney. You're entitled to your share.
