Legal Question in Insurance Law in Iowa

I had an accident with my car hitting a house patio. The damage was fairly minimal. My insurance company settled the claim with the home owner (it happens to be my landlord). The amount claimed is not making any sense to me and I wanted to understand the details from my Landlord (claimant) and the insurance company. Both are hesitating to give me the details. I know the total amount but I do not know the details. As it was my insurance, Am I entitled to get the details of the amount spent on behalf of me by my insurance company?

Is there any legal action that I need to take to get these details?

Truthfully I do not think you are entitled to the details of a settlement. You don't own the insurance, you are hiring a service from a third party. Why would you want the details of a case settled between your insurance company and a third party? Perhaps you can approach your insurance agent informally.
