Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Iowa

Unnecessary hysterectomy and continuing problems and complications

After 4 seperate surgeries and one lasperoscopy scope in which no no biopsies we retrieved my doctor did a 5th surgery in which he did a lasperoscopy assisted vaginal hyterectomy and apendectomy With this he found severe traces of indometriosis and had never taken biopsies to determine this. i was in the hospital with several complications for 4 weeks post OP. When I asked dr. why I was having so many problems he replied it was because I was a red head.I still have problems having a normal BM and I have vaginal bleeding at least once a week. I know of 4 other women in which this DR has done medical damage in their cases also. We would like to know who to contact and how we can go about preventing this DR from hurting anyone else. please respond with an attorney reference for us. Thank you.

Iowa or Nebraska?

Your post shows that this is a case that may be in Iowa or Nebraska. If you will let me know where you are, I can hopefully be of greater help. I am an attorney in Iowa who does medical malpractice cases. However, there may be a lawyer closer to your area that would be more convenient. I should forewarn you that medical malpractice cases are difficult cases to win (jurors want to believe that Doctors do no harm) and emotionally trying for the client. Depending on the type of case, you will can expect to spend a few thousand dollars on experts who are necessary to show a breach of the proper standard of care. Our office normally has a case thoroughly reviewed before we accept a case. This usually costs around $1000 and in the long run can save the client a lot of money and grief if it looks like we may have trouble proving our case.
