Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

I do alot of hands on work for my job and ended up with a gangelion cyst on my wrist. I finally had to go to the Dr. with it because it got so big and painful! He did have to drain it by using a needle. My Human Resourse rep. said that it happened to long ago and couldn't be helped. Is there a statuate of limitations for an on the job injury? I do have the incident report. Thanking you in advance.......A gangelion cyst is caused by repetative use, and I have been there for nine years.....

The type of injury you are alleging is a cumulative trauma and you should have two years from the date of diagnosis to pursue a claim under workers' compensation.
